She graduated from Marmara University, Department of Public Administration and Political Science (French) in 2009. She completed her master’s at Galatasaray University Political Science. After her internship at TÜSİAD communication department, she worked as a Press Relations Assistant at Opel Turkey. Then she worked as an Editor at On İki Levha and Domingo publishing houses and finally as a Program Coordinator at TEMA Foundation. She has been working as the Communication and Program Manager at Vona Law Firm since 2018.

Ms. Sönmez has a good command of English and French.
